Luminary Walk

My parents bought tickets to the Luminary Walk, so we all went out to the OP Arboretum last night.  We had never been to this event before, and it was truly magical!  There were thousands of lighted candles all along a winding path through the forest.  The path finally stopped at the train exhibit, which had been decorated with holiday lights and new Christmas trains!  The boys always love visiting the trains, but this time was so amazing.  They even had a chance to talk to Santa.  Matty sat right on his lap and told him what he wanted for Christmas...he even told him that Zach wants a new mower.  Zach kept his distance but did talk with him finally...and even gave him a high five at the end!  We saw so many amazing lights and little attractions, such as a gingerbread house.  The lighted path took us by the lake at the end...what a fun evening!  We will definitely go back again next year!

Frozen

We took the boys to the new Disney movie 'Frozen' this morning.  Based on the previews, we thought that the movie was a comedy with a goofy snowman and a reindeer.  However, it had a more serious plot...but the music and animation was amazing.  The boys did great!  Z sat on my lap the entire time, because he didn't like that his chair moved...of course I didn't mind :)

Thanksgiving

We had a very nice Thanksgiving yesterday!

 We played at the rocks for a little while in the morning.

Thanksgiving dinner at my parents' house was yummy!  The boys especially liked the french silk pie.

Matty's school was closed on Friday, but he had fun baking muffins with my Mom while I took Zach to his music class.

Decorate

The boys and I have been putting up a few Christmas decorations this week while Jeremy is out of town.  They like the little lighted houses the best!  They run from room to room visiting all of them.  It's so fun to watch how excited they are about the upcoming holidays.  We still have to put up our tallest tree and we plan to cut one down this year too.  I think we will have around 6 Christmas trees when all is said and done!

Ice!

The boys found ice in the stream next to our lake yesterday!  Brrrr.

Track Suits

The boys were excited to wear their new Puma track suits today...so cute!

Hard at Work

The boys tried out their new rakes in the front yard today...we made a huge pile of leaves and filled two whole bags!

Weekend with George
