Royals Game
We went to a toasty afternoon game at the K on Wednesday. First, we visited the tailgate for Ashlei's firm, and then we headed inside. We had Diamond Club tickets, so we were able to eat some snacks in a nice air-conditioned area before going to our seats. Our seats were great! They were right behind home plate, 10 rows back. The boys lasted for 3 innings in the seats (it was scorching, so they did great), but then we walked over to the outfield area. They watched the large fountains for awhile and then went over to the kiddie zone. The pop-up sprinklers were a hit!

Worlds of Fun
We visited Worlds of Fun on Tuesday, and it was a great day because there were no crowds! We basically walked on to every ride without a wait. The boys had Camp Snoopy almost all to themselves. Matty is only 1 inch away from being able to ride all of the large roller coasters, and he is a thrill seeker for sure. He rode his first roller coaster, the Spinning Dragons, and loved it. His favorite new ride was the Octopus, which goes high in the air and spins around. Unfortunately, he made me ride it with him for a 2nd time, yikes. Zach's favorite ride was the Flying Dutchman, which he rode about 4 times! We had a nice picnic lunch and stayed at the park until almost 5pm.

Happy 6th Birthday Matthew!
6 years ago, on Memorial Day morning, the doctor told us that our baby would be born that day...15 weeks early. We were so full of emotions, mainly, fear for our child's life. We were so scared that there was no time to be excited about the birth of our son. Fast forward to this Memorial Day, and there was so much excitement in our house! Matty turned 6 years old! We started the weekend off right with 2 trips to the swimming pool. Matty grew so much this past year that he is now able to stand in the shallow end of the pool. He also picked right up where he was last summer with his swimming. We had my parents and grandparents over for a little party on Sunday afternoon. Matty had a baseball cake and opened some really neat gifts...a light-up karaoke machine, new radio, Lego set, sprinkler toy, squirt guns, and his very own subscription to a magazine! Happy birthday to a very special little miracle boy!

Birthday Dinner
Surprise surprise, Matty chose Chili's for his special birthday dinner out. Queso and pizza are always a hit!
Chuck E Cheese
My parents took the boys to Chuck E Cheese last Tuesday to kick off Matty's birthday week. The boys had never been before, and they had a great time! They had over 100 tokens to use...their favorite things were the water squirt game, skee ball and the motion theater. After some pizza, they cashed in their tickets and chose some toys. What a fun evening!
