Happy 1st Birthday Zachary!

I can't believe how fast this year has flown by! Little Zach turned 1 today. Here are some pics from his big day!

Worlds of Fun

We took Matty to Worlds of Fun on Monday, and he had a blast! I was a little worried when he rode his first ride of the day (the carousel) and he started to cry. But he grew a little braver with each ride. He rode the train, Snoopy's rocket ride, the Nascars (which was his favorite by far), the hot air balloon, the tractor ride, the Peanuts bus, the green caterpillar ride, the big ferris wheel (not kidding), the log water ride, and at the end of the day, he even rode the red airplane ride all by himself! What a brave boy! The weather was perfect and it was a day that I hope he won't forget! (He had so much fun that he fell asleep on the car ride home...priceless).

Zach's 1st Birthday Party

We had Zach's 1st birthday party on Sunday afternoon. He had so much fun playing with everyone, hanging out on the back deck and chasing his new ball toys. He also had a great time with his very own birthday cake...so much fun, in fact, that he had to go straight to the bathtub!

...for his 1st birthday! 1 year ago this weekend, I was packing my bag for the hospital and getting very anxious to meet this little guy!

End of Summer

Hard to believe that today is the last day of August! Summer is definitely going out in a hot way...it is supposed to be 100 degrees this afternoon! All of the Johnson County pools were closed early this year, so we have been staying cool inside. Zach has 4 new teeth on the top, to go along with the 2 on the bottom. He is already eating a lot of table food, but will be able to chew meat soon :) Matty continues to harass Zach (in a loving way of course)...I thought that the picture below was pretty funny...Zach has a terrified look as his older brother approaches.
