Fun Outings

This week, we had some fun outings.  We went to the Legends shops on Friday, ate dinner at the Yard House, and then stopped off at Dick's on the way home.

On Saturday, we visited Richie's new house, and then drove down to see the Plaza lights.  It was super crowded, but we finally found a parking spot and ate dinner at Tomfooleries.  Then, we walked down to the bookstore and rode escalators for a little while (per the boys' request).

New Toys

Christmas Day

We had a great Christmas this year!  The boys were so excited to see all of the toys from Santa.  They ran down the stairs to find a new Razor bike, a gas and go mower, new Geo Trax trains, Lite Brites, a disco ball, monster truck road rippers, a rescue helicopter, and new remote control helicopters.  Then, we went to church and over to my parents' house later in the day.  The boys opened up some new clothes, Samsung tablets, an Octonaut playset and gups, dart guns, lincoln logs, videos, books, play food...they really are lucky little boys.  The best part of the day was spending it with family!

Christmas Eve

We went over to Ashlei and Charles' house on Christmas Eve.  We had a yummy Italian dinner and a nice time visiting with my family.  Then, we had to get home in time for Santa to arrive!

Crown Center (part 2)

We drove down to Crown Center yesterday (again) so that the boys could see the Union Station train exhibit decorated for the holidays!  It was truly magical and the boys had so much fun.  We ate lunch at Panera and had a nice time.

Gingerbread Cottages

The boys had fun decorating their gingerbread cottages at my parents' house this week.  This year, they shared the annual tradition with their little cousin Brynlee!

Warm Weather

After all of the cold weather we have been having, it has been nice to get outside to some parks the past couple of days!

Crown Center

We met our friends (the Kuhns) for an early dinner at the Salty Iguana on Saturday.  The kids were really well behaved and ate well.  Then, we all drove down to Crown Center to see all of the sights.  It was really crowded, so we had to park across the street at Hallmark.  The kids had fun seeing the mayor's Christmas tree and all of the wooden vehicles outside.  We went inside to warm up, and watched the trains circle around the gingerbread village for awhile.  Then, we walked across the Link to Union Station...unfortunately, the train exhibit was closed, but we still enjoyed seeing the large tree and other decorations in the lobby.  The kids enjoyed some Sheridan's ice cream before we had to go home!
