New Playground

This morning, we took the boys to the playground at the elementary school in our neighborhood. Matty had a blast playing on the equipment and running the bases with Jeremy. Zach mostly enjoyed doing his own thing...exploring near the school, going down the slides, and walking around the soccer and baseball fields. This will be the boys' school someday and luckily it is close enough that I can walk them to and from on nice days!

Outside (in Jan!)

We went to the playground a couple of times this week, and the boys had a blast! Zach ran into the suspension bridge, resulting in a bump on his forehead and then took a tumble the next day, which caused a bruise on his nose...but he didn't mind, he loves chasing after his big brother. Matty also rode his little bike and Zach pushed his walker toy...this is really unheard of during the month of January!

Copters

These 2 definitely love remote control helicopters. We bought them one for Christmas, and now they have 4 total, with 1 more on the way. After the Christmas copter started to fritter out, we went back to the toy store, and they only had a tiny one in stock. So, the rest of the fleet were ordered online.

This is the largest copter that was just delivered. We took it out on Saturday for its maiden voyage...unfortunately, it was so windy that it was almost impossible to steer the thing. Even though it was chilly out, the boys enjoyed watching their new favorite toy!

Cold Week

It has been a typical cold January week, so we have been keeping busy inside. I did go to tour a preschool for Matty...I can't believe he'll be going to school next year. When he was a teeny tiny baby, it was hard to picture the day when I would be turning in his preschool application form. I think it will definitely be emotional for me next fall when I have to drop him off!

Most days, I have to convince Matty to eat his dinner, much like Sam I Am does with the green eggs and ham!

The weather has been beautiful this past week...hard to believe it is actually January! We have been playing outside as much as possible. A cold front just moved in this afternoon, so back to the toy room we go!

Dr Seuss

15 Month Checkup

Zach had his 15 month checkup today! He screamed the entire time, due to his stranger danger complex...but overall, he did great. Dr S confirmed that we have a tall, lean boy!

Zach's stats:

Weight: 24 lbs, 6.6 oz (42%)

Height: 33.1 inches (90%)

Yes, Zach jumped up to the 90% in height! He also got the MMR and chicken pox shots, but was only mad for a little while. Great job Zach!

New Years Eve

We had a fun New Years Eve last night. We met up with everyone at Ashlei & Charles' house for a nice dinner. The boys opened a few new gifts...some new Dr Seuss books, an MU monkey & ball, a talking Elmo book, jammies...they loved them all! We had to leave early and of course didn't stay up until midnight, but we had a lovely evening.
