Head for the Cure

I ran in the 15th annual HFTC race this morning in Corporate Woods.  It was raining really hard before the race began, so the rest of the family stayed at home.  I ended up finishing 3rd out of my age group, which had a total of 119 ladies, with a time of 25 minutes, 31 seconds.  http://www.kcrunningcompany.com/results/?page_id=&id=3572&show=results

Then, we headed next door for the post-race brunch, where it rained once again.  The boys had a short time to play around in the bounce house with their friends.

Solar Eclipse

Yesterday, I met the boys at school to watch the highly anticipated solar eclipse!  This is the first one in 38 years in North America.  We had thunderstorms in the morning, but luckily the sky mostly cleared up by eclipse time.  We didn't want Kate to be outside during this time, so she had fun at my parents' house.

Cool Building

I pass this building often, and finally got a picture!

Ice Cream Social

The boys had fun at the back to school ice cream social yesterday!  They were both excited to meet their new teachers and find out which friends were in their classes.  Zach has Mrs McGreevy for 1st grade and Matty has Mrs Kellenberger for 3rd grade.
They ran into their next door neighbor friend, Matthew C.

Golf Tourney - day 2

Yesterday, Zach shot a 34...his best score EVER.  He tied with the leader for the day, and is still in 2nd place, just 3 strokes behind.  Matt also had a fun day.
