Policemen

Matty's class had a visit from a policeman today, and received a police badge.  Zach wanted one too (of course), so we made one for him.  The boys had fun running around and acting like they were police...they even put me in jail a few times because I 'broke the law'.  Zach didn't understand the meaning of this phrase, and  he told me that he didn't break anything (in order to stay out of trouble I assume) :)

Boom Boxes

On Saturday evening, we ate dinner at the Olive Garden and the boys loved it!  Matty even ate all of the black olives from the salad by himself.  After dinner, we went shopping for new boom boxes for the boys.  They are both really into music right now, and one of their players wouldn't play CD's anymore.  Most of the music players these days are more high-tech than simple CD players, so it was a bit hard to hunt down some classic ones.  However, we were able to find 2 red boom boxes and the boys were thrilled!  It's a good thing that I have a new computer, because I have burned them numerous CD's in the past couple of days.  Their favorite songs right now are from Jock Jams or the Frozen soundtrack.  It gets a bit loud in here when they are both blasting different songs!

Toy Store

On Saturday evening, we ate dinner at the Sunset Grill and then drove to the toy store.  The boys had some Christmas gift cards to use, and they had so much fun running around the store trying to find the perfect toys.  They sat in some of the powered vehicles (which were unfortunately out of budget)...there was even one that was a mini Escalade!  They finally chose a light up rainbow and a Disney fireworks gun, since they both love anything with lights.

It's so hard to choose just one!
The flash on my camera made it hard to snap a good picture of the light displays!

Christmas Cards

This posting is a little bit late...I didn't hire a photographer this year for our Christmas card picture.  So, one sunny Sunday back in November, we took the boys to our lake and tried to make them pose together.  It is so hard to get 2 little boys to sit still AND look happy in the same shot.  I think I took around 200 pictures total, and this was the winner:
Here are some other shots.  I think that I will just pick a random shot next year instead of trying to make them pose...they seem to do better when they don't realize I'm taking a picture!

Classic Zach!

Blustery Day

The wind is crazy outside today, but that didn't stop the boys from playing outside.  They were the only kids at Geyser Park (I wasn't surprised), and they also rode their bikes.  Luckily, we didn't blow away!

Breakfast Break

While Matty was at school the other day, Zach had fun running errands with me...he especially enjoyed eating a yummy cinnamon roll at Panera!

Bikers

The weather was great yesterday and the boys had fun riding their bikes around the lake at Regency Park.  The new Razor 360 bike goes so fast, Matty was able to do three laps around the lake!  When we got back home, Matty finally decided to ride his 2-wheeler.  He was riding around with so much confidence...so proud of him!

The Cold Continues...

We are all ready for some warmer weather!!
Zach likes to 'snow mow'.
Poor Stan is NOT a fan of snow.

Cotton Bowl

Mizzou beat Oklahoma State last Friday in the Cotton Bowl!  We were all super excited (but only Zach would pose for pictures)!

Snowed In

We had about 4 inches of snow last night and it is absolutely freezing outside today...so pretty boring at our house today!  We took down our real Christmas tree (which was a mess), Jeremy tried out the new snow blower on the driveway, and I made homemade chocolate chip cookies and chicken noodle soup.  In the middle of all of this 'fun', the boys decided to have a dance party in the living room!

New Year's Eve

We went to Erik and Stephanie's house on New Year's Eve.  The boys had fun playing with their little cousin and having a dance party.  Happy 2014!

Dancing with Uncle Erik.

The boys love the Frozen soundtrack.
