Green Eggs and Ham

Matty's class celebrated Dr Seuss' birthday today...they made cute green eggs and ham crafts and had green eggs for a snack.  His teacher informed me that he took one bite of the eggs and made a face...and then he was done with the special snack.  I knew that eggs, especially GREEN eggs would not go over well with this picky eater, who still isn't a fan of 'chunks'!  He did not like them Sam I Am.

Snowed In (again)

It has only been 5 short days since the last blizzard, and another winter storm hit us early this morning!  This time, the snow was very thick, wet and heavy...and so Matty's school was canceled once again.  A lot of homes in the KC area lost power today, but we were lucky to keep ours.  The boys went outside for a little while to play...I am very ready for spring to get here and for all of the snow mountains to melt!

Snowed In

I woke up early to jog and to walk Stan, and by the time I was back inside, it was snowing like crazy!  Heavy snow fell from 7am until about 1pm...I know we got well over a foot!  Cars were getting stuck on our street, and Jeremy was out shoveling for a lot of the day.  Since the snow was falling so heavily throughout the morning, the boys had fun watching it from inside.  However, they were able to play outside in the afternoon...they had such a blast!

Cheerleader Reunion

Last night, I attended a cheerleader reunion at my high school.  BVNW opened in 1993 when I was a junior, and I was a part of the first ever varsity cheerleading squad.  We designed the first uniforms, made up the first cheers and dances and established traditions for years to come.  It was so neat to see the current squad doing some of the same cheers that we made up almost 20 years ago and it was fun catching up with some old friends also.

Katie and I have been friends for 28 years!  We used to live on the same street and cheered together all 4 years of HS...we were the main choreographers!

I try to do fun things with Zach while Matty is at school...today, he was so excited to go shopping at Town Center!  He kept saying "Macy's escalators" and we rode up and down about 8 times.  He was also pumped to go to the bath and body store to help me pick out some new soaps...he loves smelling soap about as much as he loves smelling cologne.
